I facilitated a governance review and a whole organisation awayday for SHARE, a learning community in South London. A skills audit and a self-assessment about the capacity of the board to undertake its functions resulted in a number of planned actions to strengthen the governance function. Strategic Objectives and action plans for the next four years were developed for consultation with the wider organisation. These now form the basis of SHARE's strategic plan. A second day with the whole staff team and some client stakeholders undertook an Appreciative Inquiry into the best of SHARE. Visions of the desired future were created using art materials, these visual representations were converted into statements about the 'ideal' environment and organisation and plans for how everyone would work together.
