This project was to explore options for improving the engagement of the voluntary and community sector with the regional public health agenda. A wide ranging consultation and series of interviews with Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations and Public Health agencies was undertaken to canvass views. A training session for VCOs into the regional health agenda was held and finally a report with recommendations about options for a way forward was presented to an open conference of interested organisations.
The report was accepted and has resulted in a small project on regional public health being taken forward by the Yorkshire and Humber Regional Forum.
