The senior management team of Carers UK commissioned some facilitation of their annual awayday to review progress so far and to debate and agree a long-term vision for the organisation. The day began with an Appreciative Inquiry to generate new knowledge about what was working incredibly well and what was of greatest value to the organisation. This was followed by a strategic trends presentation and a facilitated PESTLE analysis. A structured debate on potential future scenarios for the organisation using De Bono's Six Thinking Hats, produced some interesting ideas about the future for Carers and Carers UK.
